I’m your host, Sheri– a wife, boy mom, gramma, and former top network marketing leader turned Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. My journey began in the network marketing industry, where I discovered the power of Gallup’s Clifton Strengths Assessment. While this understanding propelled me to the top, it also revealed the mismatch between my gifts and my career. Despite outward success, I felt the inner turmoil of wasted talents and knew I had to pivot, even though the path wasn’t clear.
I spent three long years navigating this uncertainty, following the wrong “experts,” and investing in courses misaligned with my values. Ultimately, I realized that joy and success in my next career would only come from aligning my natural talents with my life's vision and mission.
From this revelation, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, developing a process to clarify my purpose and align it with my God-given strengths. Now, I’m excited to share everything I’ve learned with you through this podcast!
If you're ready to navigate your strengths, embrace a career change, and discover your true calling, this podcast is for you. This isn’t just another self-help podcast. It’s a guide, a companion, and a source of inspiration on your journey to career purpose and fulfillment.

00;00;00;00 - 00;00;05;29
Speaker 1
On today's podcast episode, you'll discover what exactly is the Cliftonstrengths assessment,
00;00;05;29 - 00;00;12;25
Speaker 1
what you receive from Gallup when you take this assessment. Plus, I'm sharing eight simple
00;00;12;25 - 00;00;20;15
Speaker 1
tips to help you make the most of your reports and this new information about yourself. After you take the assessment,
00;00;48;14 - 00;00;52;23
Speaker 1
I hear this all the time. Oh cliftonstrengths strengths finders.
00;00;52;25 - 00;01;01;23
Speaker 1
Yeah, I feel like I took that one for work, but I don't really remember what my what my words are the talent. What was that?
00;01;01;23 - 00;01;02;08
Speaker 1
And
00;01;02;08 - 00;01;12;01
Speaker 1
again, I hear it over and over and over again. Or sometimes I hear people like myself like, oh, yeah, I remember taking that. That was pretty cool. Like, how did they know that about me?
00;01;12;01 - 00;01;31;17
Speaker 1
But rarely do people do anything with this information. And honestly, I was the same way. I was guilty of this thought because I first experienced Cliftonstrengths in May of 2016, and I would say the only reason I know that date, because it's on the printed report.
00;01;31;17 - 00;01;32;13
Speaker 1
But anyway,
00;01;32;13 - 00;01;38;04
Speaker 1
when I first took the assessment and I remember getting my top five report back,
00;01;38;04 - 00;01;42;04
Speaker 1
I remember reading through it and thinking, wow, this is really cool.
00;01;42;05 - 00;01;44;09
Speaker 1
Like, how did they know that about me?
00;01;44;09 - 00;01;56;20
Speaker 1
But then I tucked it away because I didn't understand how valuable this information was about myself. And I definitely had no idea what to do with the information to make the most of it.
00;01;56;20 - 00;02;03;08
Speaker 1
And here's the thing, my friend. I don't want that to be you. So today I'm going to break down for you.
00;02;03;08 - 00;02;06;08
Speaker 1
First of all, what is the Cliftonstrengths assessment?
00;02;06;08 - 00;02;14;26
Speaker 1
And two, if you haven't done it yet, what you will receive from Gallup. And even if you did take it, there's probably some things you didn't know that are available for you
00;02;14;26 - 00;02;16;14
Speaker 1
just by taking the assessment.
00;02;16;14 - 00;02;21;26
Speaker 1
And 2 or 3, I'm going to break down the eight tips that I have for you.
00;02;21;29 - 00;02;27;04
Speaker 1
Simple tips that you can start doing today to make the most of your report,
00;02;27;04 - 00;02;35;15
Speaker 1
so that you can really increase the chances of finding that success in your life and work, and in finding your calling
00;02;35;15 - 00;02;36;00
Speaker 1
and,
00;02;36;00 - 00;02;40;18
Speaker 1
you know, let's back up though a little bit. It's like, why don't we
00;02;40;18 - 00;02;45;13
Speaker 1
understand these reports and why don't we take the time to really dive into them?
00;02;45;15 - 00;03;04;08
Speaker 1
And a lot of times it's just that one. Sometimes I have heard this before that a college or a work environment, they think they're going to do this great thing for their team. So they have everybody take the assessment and maybe they even do a one hour workshop.
00;03;04;08 - 00;03;09;00
Speaker 1
But that is not enough to really understand the power of cliftonstrengths.
00;03;09;06 - 00;03;12;15
Speaker 1
So a lot of times it's just because we had to take the assessment.
00;03;12;15 - 00;03;15;04
Speaker 1
And then we sat through this workshop,
00;03;15;04 - 00;03;29;01
Speaker 1
but then nobody really explained what to do with that information. So like all the other assessments we've had to take for work, you know, the Myers-Briggs, the disc and all the things, we just kind of tuck that information away.
00;03;29;03 - 00;03;33;27
Speaker 1
The other thing that happens that I see happen over and over and over again and again, this happened to me.
00;03;33;27 - 00;03;40;00
Speaker 1
I didn't know what to do with the information and how it could benefit me
00;03;40;00 - 00;03;51;00
Speaker 1
once I did understand the information. And I want to take today to really just kind of give you a little bit more information, a little bit more eye opening, thoughts.
00;03;51;05 - 00;03;54;14
Speaker 1
And again, those practical tips that you can start implementing
00;03;54;14 - 00;04;07;17
Speaker 1
so that that doesn't happen to you because it is an investment in yourself. It takes time to sit down and take the assessment about 30 to 45 minutes. And it also is a financial investment. So let's make the most of it, okay.
00;04;07;17 - 00;04;12;07
Speaker 1
All right. So starting with what is the cliftonstrengths assessment and the reports.
00;04;12;10 - 00;04;32;09
Speaker 1
So Cliftonstrengths is owned by Gallup. It's a psychometric based on positive psychology assessment. It's tons of research. It is not a fly by night thing. It's been around for decades. And I think we just crossed 34 million people have taken the assessment over the globe. Pretty exciting.
00;04;32;09 - 00;04;40;29
Speaker 1
But what it does is it tells you what your unique talent profile looks like and talent themes are based on.
00;04;40;29 - 00;04;49;02
Speaker 1
Again, research. And it's basically though how you naturally think, feel and behave it what it's what makes you unique.
00;04;49;02 - 00;05;03;23
Speaker 1
And some of the benefits of the Cliftonstrengths 34 is that improved awareness of these natural talents again, how you naturally think, feel and behave. Because when you're aware of that, then you can start using those natural talents to find success.
00;05;03;23 - 00;05;16;10
Speaker 1
It also gives you greater confidence and empowerment. There is something so powerful when you start recognizing like, oh, this is my superpower. This is what makes me great.
00;05;16;10 - 00;05;21;22
Speaker 1
You know, at this job, this is how I can take this talent and use it
00;05;21;22 - 00;05;23;07
Speaker 1
to succeed in life.
00;05;23;07 - 00;05;26;13
Speaker 1
And there's confidence that comes from that power. Empowerment,
00;05;26;13 - 00;05;27;03
Speaker 1
the other better.
00;05;27;04 - 00;05;46;15
Speaker 1
Another benefit from taking the Cliftonstrengths assessment is it's becomes an easy way to describe your unique talent DNA. So this your talents are unique to you. They're what you're born with. I like to think that they're what God put inside of you.
00;05;46;15 - 00;06;01;13
Speaker 1
And once you take the assessment and you have this new language, it becomes an easy way to express that to others, especially think about like a job interview where they might say, well, what are your strengths that you bring, that you'll bring to the organization?
00;06;01;15 - 00;06;09;25
Speaker 1
And a lot of times we stumble over that, and once you take the assessment, it gives you an easy language to use when you're asked that question.
00;06;09;25 - 00;06;20;03
Speaker 1
It also helps to improve performance at work and anywhere. Because basically when you know how you naturally think, feel and behave and you learn how to,
00;06;20;03 - 00;06;22;09
Speaker 1
you know, use those natural gifts,
00;06;22;09 - 00;06;28;28
Speaker 1
you are naturally going to become better at your work no matter where you work and what you're doing.
00;06;28;28 - 00;06;48;13
Speaker 1
It also helps you see what environment you need to thrive in and where you can match the two. That's where, life just gets really super fun and you become much more impactful and probably making more income at the same time. So it improves, helps improve your performance at work and in your life.
00;06;48;13 - 00;06;50;18
Speaker 1
The another benefit is that
00;06;50;18 - 00;06;54;12
Speaker 1
you will have success in spite of your weaknesses.
00;06;54;15 - 00;06;59;07
Speaker 1
So often people want us to focus on fixing our
00;06;59;07 - 00;07;00;08
Speaker 1
weaknesses,
00;07;00;08 - 00;07;23;17
Speaker 1
and this is entirely based on positive psychology. John Clifton studied all this way back when, and it's all about instead of worrying about fixing our weaknesses, we want to be aware of our weaknesses, but we want to work on honing in and perfecting our natural strengths. And that's when we have the biggest chance of that success that we're looking for.
00;07;23;19 - 00;07;32;22
Speaker 1
So these strategies that you'll learn by understanding your natural talent, DNA are
00;07;32;22 - 00;07;37;08
Speaker 1
can give you the chance of success, exponentially increase that chance of success.
00;07;37;08 - 00;07;53;26
Speaker 1
I'm going to add one more here is it also helps in relationship building. Because when you can start to understand why and how you naturally think, feel and behave, but you also understand how your coworkers naturally think, feel and behave, or how your spouse does,
00;07;53;26 - 00;07;56;19
Speaker 1
your relationships are going to change.
00;07;56;20 - 00;08;12;11
Speaker 1
You're going to start to understand, oh, they're not doing that to annoy me. They're doing that because that's just the way they are. And we can learn to respect that more and lean into and look to each other for support when we need those talents to shine.
00;08;12;11 - 00;08;16;29
Speaker 1
Now, once you take the assessment, what are you going to get?
00;08;17;01 - 00;08;31;26
Speaker 1
What do you get from Gallup when you go and you spend the time and invest in taking the Cliftonstrengths assessment? Well, first of all, you're going to get your Cliftonstrengths 34 report. If you do the 434, there is a top five option as well.
00;08;31;26 - 00;08;37;17
Speaker 1
I usually recommend to my clients. Just spend a little bit more to do the full 34 report.
00;08;37;19 - 00;08;49;26
Speaker 1
Now if the budget's tight, top five is better than nothing, and or if you did do the top five years ago, you can always upgrade to the full 34 without having to take the assessment all over again.
00;08;49;26 - 00;09;00;21
Speaker 1
All right, back to what you're going to get. So in this 34 report, you will get a detailed breakdown of your top ten Cliftonstrengths themes,
00;09;00;21 - 00;09;08;22
Speaker 1
which includes action items, and ideas that you can implement on how to use these themes.
00;09;08;25 - 00;09;19;21
Speaker 1
There's a great description that I absolutely love this part of it because it's unique to you, and it describes how that talent theme shows up in your life.
00;09;19;21 - 00;09;25;16
Speaker 1
And I love, love, love reading those, with my clients because they're all different.
00;09;25;16 - 00;09;40;25
Speaker 1
We may there may be three people with a, communication talent theme, but based on where the rest of their talent themes lie on their full 34 report, the description is different and unique,
00;09;40;25 - 00;09;51;06
Speaker 1
and this is one of the reasons why I am obsessed with Cliftonstrengths, because I don't know any other assessment out there that is customized and unique to each individual.
00;09;51;06 - 00;09;52;06
Speaker 1
Like this is
00;09;52;06 - 00;10;18;25
Speaker 1
so you get that unique description based on who how all 34 themes showed up on your report, not just that one talent theme. You get action items. As I said, you also get the potential blind spots for each theme. And this is like what to be aware of and how that talent theme could, be a negative in your life or show up in a way that maybe others interpret it.
00;10;18;27 - 00;10;19;24
Speaker 1
That can kind of
00;10;19;24 - 00;10;23;28
Speaker 1
not be in a good way and just to be aware of those things.
00;10;23;28 - 00;10;30;01
Speaker 1
You also get advice on how to navigate your 11 through 34 themes,
00;10;30;01 - 00;10;44;04
Speaker 1
and also it gives you ideas on how to identify and manage those potential weaknesses. And for the sake of cliftonstrengths, your weaknesses aren't necessary. Really. What's line on the bottom 34 of your talent themes?
00;10;44;10 - 00;10;59;28
Speaker 1
Your weaknesses might be when you're talent themes, but you're not using it the right way, or you're letting it live in its blind spot area and not as a powerful, superpower for you. So you get advice on how to manage that.
00;10;59;28 - 00;11;13;11
Speaker 1
You are also going to receive from Gallup more learning materials. And this is the part that a lot of people aren't aware that they have these waiting for them in their Gallup folder, because once you take the assessment,
00;11;13;11 - 00;11;15;27
Speaker 1
you are created an account on Gallup
00;11;15;27 - 00;11;17;17
Speaker 1
and you can always go back in there.
00;11;17;17 - 00;11;24;16
Speaker 1
So even if you took the assessment ten years ago at work, you can go in and, and Gallup's
00;11;24;16 - 00;11;39;27
Speaker 1
not source, but their, customer service is very used to this. You they can help you find your assessment. It lives in there forever based on the email. And even if you don't work at that company anymore, they can usually still find it for you, which is pretty cool.
00;11;39;29 - 00;11;41;21
Speaker 1
Or you can retake it if you'd rather.
00;11;41;21 - 00;11;42;12
Speaker 1
But anyway,
00;11;42;12 - 00;12;03;05
Speaker 1
inside there you also receive a Strengthsfinder 2.0 e-book, and this is written by Don Clifton and this helps describe all the different talent themes. So you can kind of really study what those your top ten mean. And this Strengthsfinder 2.0 book. It's a really, really awesome, short, easy to read book.
00;12;03;07 - 00;12;26;03
Speaker 1
The other thing you have and from Gallup is you have other additional learning tools. There's actually a video learning module that is included in everybody's. Once you take the assessment and some other tips and tools online in Gallup's again on Gallup's website, for you to really become a student of yourself is how I like to look at it.
00;12;26;03 - 00;12;36;29
Speaker 1
For the past few months, you've heard me share what I love about magic Mind. And magic mind is a mental performance shot like a little drinking shot, not a shot in your arm
00;12;36;29 - 00;12;43;23
Speaker 1
that's full of great ingredients. And it's become my go to morning hack to increase productivity.
00;12;43;23 - 00;12;46;25
Speaker 1
But, you know, I don't want you to just take my word for it.
00;12;46;27 - 00;12;57;16
Speaker 1
I want to share some of the opinions of other business professionals, actors, singers, even surfers who love and use magic mind. Here's what a few of them had to say.
00;12;57;16 - 00;13;05;15
Speaker 1
One professional shared magic mind is motivation and a bottle. The best tool for helping me get into a deep creative flow state.
00;13;05;15 - 00;13;09;19
Speaker 1
Others just shared how it fuels their creativity and productivity.
00;13;09;22 - 00;13;17;26
Speaker 1
One even saying that it lifts the brain fog so that they can conquer the to do list with less distraction. Don't we all want that?
00;13;17;26 - 00;13;18;27
Speaker 1
And I love this
00;13;18;27 - 00;13;33;21
Speaker 1
one musical artist said. He called it the game changer for their band, saying it helps with clarity, focus and flow without messing with sleep patterns. And that's oh so important, right?
00;13;33;24 - 00;13;47;23
Speaker 1
So you can read more of these testimonials and reviews on, you know, Magic mind.com. And when you're ready to try this little productivity hack for yourself,
00;13;47;23 - 00;14;00;18
Speaker 1
head to the Magic mind.com backslash d y c and use my code d y c 20 and you'll get 20% off your first magic mind.
00;14;00;18 - 00;14;03;23
Speaker 1
Order. So hope you love it. Let me know what you think.
00;14;03;23 - 00;14;04;09
Speaker 1
Now,
00;14;04;09 - 00;14;10;06
Speaker 1
that being said, even after people have looked at these things, maybe they read the book.
00;14;10;06 - 00;14;22;18
Speaker 1
There's still this piece of like, all right, yeah, I had this report. You know, it sounds really cool again, but they really still don't really understand what to do with all this information.
00;14;22;18 - 00;14;28;18
Speaker 1
And this is where these eight practical, easy to implement steps come in.
00;14;28;21 - 00;14;48;19
Speaker 1
So once you do the assessment, here's how I recommend you take this information and make the most of it. Number one print it out. Print it out. It's worth having access to easy easy access to it. Don't just keep it online. You'll never look at it.
00;14;48;19 - 00;14;52;06
Speaker 1
So print it out and read through the reports.
00;14;52;06 - 00;14;54;08
Speaker 1
And here's the key step.
00;14;54;08 - 00;14;56;25
Speaker 1
Highlight what stands out to you.
00;14;56;25 - 00;15;06;05
Speaker 1
Now what are you going to highlight. You're going to look for the things in the description, especially that customized description I mentioned earlier.
00;15;06;05 - 00;15;08;17
Speaker 1
Look for things that just make you say like,
00;15;08;17 - 00;15;15;12
Speaker 1
oh yes, I definitely do that. Yes, that definitely sounds like me. Highlight that, underline that.
00;15;15;12 - 00;15;18;29
Speaker 1
Maybe you'll read something and you think, oh wow.
00;15;18;29 - 00;15;25;09
Speaker 1
Yeah. You know, I used to do that, but I don't anymore make note of that.
00;15;25;09 - 00;15;27;25
Speaker 1
Or maybe you read something that just makes you go,
00;15;27;25 - 00;15;29;15
Speaker 1
I never thought about this
00;15;29;15 - 00;15;37;06
Speaker 1
because sometimes we don't recognize our own natural talents and strengths and how they're showing up in our world and in our lives.
00;15;37;06 - 00;15;41;19
Speaker 1
And maybe there's going to be other things that you read readers like, I don't even really understand.
00;15;41;23 - 00;15;44;09
Speaker 1
So make note, highlight that circle that.
00;15;44;09 - 00;15;45;05
Speaker 1
So you're
00;15;45;05 - 00;15;59;21
Speaker 1
customized, print it out, put then strikes report should be all marked up by you. The more you can make notes on it and circle things and highlight it, the more it's going to become this, this life giving, report for you.
00;15;59;21 - 00;16;05;22
Speaker 1
And I recommend keeping it accessible. I love to read through my report
00;16;05;22 - 00;16;22;17
Speaker 1
at least once a month at the minimum, once a quarter you should read through your report, and every time you do, you'll read something new about yourself that you missed last time, because it's kind of based on what's happening in your world and how each different talent theme shows up.
00;16;22;20 - 00;16;35;01
Speaker 1
You know when and how you can use it more. Sometimes you need to lean on to, you know, this talent thing. But at other times in your life, you need to lean into this talent theme. So the more you become aware of that, the more valuable this report becomes.
00;16;35;01 - 00;16;39;23
Speaker 1
So print out the report, read through it, and highlight what stands out to you.
00;16;39;23 - 00;16;50;09
Speaker 1
The second tip I have for you is share your Cliftonstrengths 34 reports with a close friend or a peer, or even a supervisor,
00;16;50;09 - 00;16;54;07
Speaker 1
or maybe a spouse and see what they think. Share with a couple of people.
00;16;54;07 - 00;16;55;22
Speaker 1
And why do you want to do that?
00;16;55;22 - 00;17;01;27
Speaker 1
Because others often see things in us. We don't see in ourselves the good stuff.
00;17;02;01 - 00;17;04;02
Speaker 1
But sometimes the bad as well.
00;17;04;02 - 00;17;13;02
Speaker 1
So there may be things that you read there like, oh wow, that doesn't sound like me. And they may read it as like, oh yeah, that's definitely you, sister. That is definitely you.
00;17;13;02 - 00;17;17;22
Speaker 1
And ask them, are they surprised by the results and why or why not?
00;17;17;22 - 00;17;22;21
Speaker 1
And what other observations did they see when they look through the report about you
00;17;22;21 - 00;17;26;04
Speaker 1
again, they may see things that we don't see about ourselves.
00;17;26;04 - 00;17;31;21
Speaker 1
So number two is just share your report with other close peers, friends, spouses,
00;17;31;21 - 00;17;33;14
Speaker 1
and get their opinion on it
00;17;33;14 - 00;17;34;20
Speaker 1
and their thoughts on it.
00;17;34;20 - 00;17;36;22
Speaker 1
The third tip is to
00;17;36;22 - 00;17;43;08
Speaker 1
look at your report and think about times when or how you've
00;17;43;08 - 00;17;53;15
Speaker 1
used your top five talent themes in your daily life. Maybe it was in the past, or maybe it's currently like when do you see them showing up?
00;17;53;17 - 00;18;02;15
Speaker 1
You know, make it tangible for you. Like, oh yes, I use my strategic theme when I'm on the planning board at work
00;18;02;15 - 00;18;15;03
Speaker 1
or I use it. I just talking to somebody today. I use my deliberate when I need to make a major buying decision, like when and how are they showing up in your life or when or how did they show up in your life?
00;18;15;03 - 00;18;26;00
Speaker 1
And again, it's becoming aware of your talent, themes and how they actually show up in your world so that you can start to be really super intentional with using them.
00;18;26;00 - 00;18;30;29
Speaker 1
The fourth tip is to hone in on your top five,
00;18;30;29 - 00;18;42;13
Speaker 1
and what I mean by that is now taking them. And in your Cliftonstrengths report, there is a section that says take action to maximize your potential.
00;18;42;16 - 00;18;48;03
Speaker 1
Like that's the title of it, take action to maximize your potential. And what I recommend
00;18;48;03 - 00;18;49;27
Speaker 1
as you look at your top five
00;18;49;27 - 00;18;53;22
Speaker 1
and pick one action item
00;18;53;22 - 00;18;59;00
Speaker 1
underneath. And you can even just start with one one of your top five talent themes.
00;18;59;00 - 00;19;05;15
Speaker 1
Pick one action item under that. Take action to maximize your potential and start doing that today.
00;19;05;15 - 00;19;14;27
Speaker 1
Start implementing it into your world, into your life. And once that becomes part of your routine, then pick another action item from another talent theme
00;19;14;27 - 00;19;15;26
Speaker 1
and do that.
00;19;15;26 - 00;19;21;21
Speaker 1
And that's actually tip number five is repeat that process over and over and over again.
00;19;21;21 - 00;19;24;19
Speaker 1
Pick a new talent theme weekly or monthly,
00;19;24;19 - 00;19;29;05
Speaker 1
and an action item to do underneath them each week or each month.
00;19;29;07 - 00;19;37;11
Speaker 1
Now, I have also known, some people that they just hone in on one talent theme for an entire year.
00;19;37;11 - 00;19;47;05
Speaker 1
If that resonates with you, then do that. Personally, I like to change it up that I kind of really focus in on one a week or one a month, or you could do one a quarter,
00;19;47;05 - 00;19;50;25
Speaker 1
but really just hone in on those action items that they give you.
00;19;50;25 - 00;19;53;18
Speaker 1
You don't even have to think of these, which is pretty darn cool.
00;19;53;18 - 00;19;54;20
Speaker 1
Number six,
00;19;54;20 - 00;20;04;05
Speaker 1
do what you can to study the report and refer back to it often. Now, I already kind of talked a little bit about this, but
00;20;04;05 - 00;20;11;03
Speaker 1
you know, the key is not to like really read through this report or do the action items and then never look at it again.
00;20;11;03 - 00;20;12;27
Speaker 1
Refer back to it again.
00;20;12;27 - 00;20;16;18
Speaker 1
Maybe every night you could read through one talent theme,
00;20;16;18 - 00;20;27;00
Speaker 1
maybe every quarter. It is that you you take the time to, you know, spend a couple hours reading through your report and studying about it, thinking about how can you use these talent themes in your life?
00;20;27;00 - 00;20;32;00
Speaker 1
So pick a routine of how you can really just study that report and study yourself.
00;20;32;00 - 00;20;33;13
Speaker 1
Which leads me to,
00;20;33;13 - 00;20;40;26
Speaker 1
tip number seven is read the Strengthsfinder 2.0 book, the e-book that came with that. They're waiting for you.
00;20;40;26 - 00;20;48;26
Speaker 1
There's also the videos, and I also recommend listening to podcasts so that you become a student of your strengths.
00;20;48;26 - 00;20;57;29
Speaker 1
And there's some great podcasts out there. Actually, Gallup had a podcast called Theme Thursdays. They know they no longer make new ones of this one.
00;20;57;29 - 00;21;16;08
Speaker 1
They do have other podcast apps podcast shows out there, but I loved Themed Thursday and there's eight years of podcasts about talent themes. Some of them are like one minute long and others about an hour long. But become a student of your top ten.
00;21;16;08 - 00;21;24;22
Speaker 1
I also did a series I discovered well, it was uncharted entrepreneurs at the time, but you can find it under the Discover in Your Calling podcast.
00;21;24;24 - 00;21;30;13
Speaker 1
And in 2021, I did this crazy 100 day series and
00;21;30;13 - 00;21;45;09
Speaker 1
I part of that series. I interviewed people with all. I don't think we hit 34, but I did like 32 of the talent themes. So you can listen to those. Like I said, you have to scroll all the way back to 2021,
00;21;45;09 - 00;21;53;15
Speaker 1
and there are real life people that have these talent themes talking about how they show up in their life or how they get in their way of success.
00;21;53;17 - 00;21;59;07
Speaker 1
So they're very valuable. That was I, even before I was a certified coach, that I did that series.
00;21;59;07 - 00;22;08;02
Speaker 1
So find resources and a lot of them are already right there, available for you for free. So your Strengths Finders 2.0 book.
00;22;08;02 - 00;22;16;27
Speaker 1
There's videos on Gallup. There's a YouTube channel that Gallup has on Cliftonstrengths. I had podcasts and then the theme Thursday podcast.
00;22;16;27 - 00;22;22;20
Speaker 1
So become a student of your strengths. That's really number seven. Become a student of your strengths.
00;22;22;20 - 00;22;31;25
Speaker 1
And then number eight, if you want to go even deeper, I do recommend hire a coach or attend a live workshop.
00;22;31;25 - 00;22;50;10
Speaker 1
I'm available for a start with strengths debrief session. But there's a lot of other, cliftonstrengths coaches out there. Look in your area, see if anybody is doing something, a workshop in person or if there's a virtual workshops on Cliftonstrengths.
00;22;50;12 - 00;22;57;18
Speaker 1
That was the turning point for me when I went to a live, in-person workshop. That was
00;22;57;18 - 00;22;58;19
Speaker 1
the really
00;22;58;19 - 00;22;59;05
Speaker 1
big
00;22;59;05 - 00;23;15;21
Speaker 1
moment for me. And I was also able to work with, you know, a coach to kind of help me really understand my talent themes. And that was the turning point of my life, really. So I hope these eight points did help.
00;23;15;22 - 00;23;33;17
Speaker 1
I'm going to go back through them again quickly here for you. So number one, print out and read through your reports and highlight what stands out to you. Number two, share your Cliftonstrengths 34 report with a close friend, peer supervisor, spouse with others to see what they think.
00;23;33;17 - 00;23;34;19
Speaker 1
Number three
00;23;34;19 - 00;23;42;09
Speaker 1
think about times when or how you did use your top five talent, themes and strengths.
00;23;42;11 - 00;23;46;03
Speaker 1
How do they show up in your daily life today or in the past?
00;23;46;03 - 00;23;47;27
Speaker 1
Get tangible examples of it.
00;23;47;27 - 00;23;49;04
Speaker 1
Number four
00;23;49;04 - 00;23;57;28
Speaker 1
hone in on your top five and the action steps. So take action to maximize your potential with your top five.
00;23;57;28 - 00;24;06;25
Speaker 1
Number five. Repeat this step over and over and over again. So continue to take action to maximize your potential with your talent.
00;24;06;25 - 00;24;07;14
Speaker 1
Themes.
00;24;07;14 - 00;24;08;21
Speaker 1
Number six
00;24;08;21 - 00;24;27;13
Speaker 1
do what you can to study the report and refer back to it often. Don't talk it away. Don't make that mistake I made initially, but keep it handy. Get in a routine of rereading that report, whether it be weekly, nightly, a part of it, quarterly, yearly, don't do yearly,
00;24;27;13 - 00;24;29;10
Speaker 1
quarterly at the least for now.
00;24;29;12 - 00;24;30;16
Speaker 1
And number seven,
00;24;30;16 - 00;25;05;22
Speaker 1
read through, study things, watch the videos, listen to podcasts, become a student of your strengths. And number eight, if you want more, hire a coach or attend a workshop. So I hope these tips were valuable to you. If you haven't taken the Cliftonstrengths report Cliftonstrengths assessment yet, I highly recommend it. It's such an eye opening assessment and if you have years ago, if you're one of those people like I was like, oh yeah, I think I took that head over to Gallup and see if they can help you track that down, or maybe just go take it again.
00;25;05;22 - 00;25;12;11
Speaker 1
And take these tips and steps and really start utilizing this valuable information.
00;25;12;11 - 00;25;26;10
Speaker 1
