I’m your host, Sheri– a wife, boy mom, gramma, and former top network marketing leader turned Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. My journey began in the network marketing industry, where I discovered the power of Gallup’s Clifton Strengths Assessment. While this understanding propelled me to the top, it also revealed the mismatch between my gifts and my career. Despite outward success, I felt the inner turmoil of wasted talents and knew I had to pivot, even though the path wasn’t clear.
I spent three long years navigating this uncertainty, following the wrong “experts,” and investing in courses misaligned with my values. Ultimately, I realized that joy and success in my next career would only come from aligning my natural talents with my life's vision and mission.
From this revelation, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, developing a process to clarify my purpose and align it with my God-given strengths. Now, I’m excited to share everything I’ve learned with you through this podcast!
If you're ready to navigate your strengths, embrace a career change, and discover your true calling, this podcast is for you. This isn’t just another self-help podcast. It’s a guide, a companion, and a source of inspiration on your journey to career purpose and fulfillment.
So, lace up those shoes, pop in your earbuds, and let’s get going! Join me on Discovering Your Calling, and let's create a life of freedom, flexibility, and impact together.

00;00;00;00 - 00;00;10;12
Speaker 1
What if 2025 could really be your best year ever? And I know, yes, you hear that all the time. And we say that all the time. This is going to be the best year ever.
00;00;10;12 - 00;00;19;28
Speaker 1
But think about it. Think about it. If every year was the best year ever, then that means your life just keeps getting better and better every year, right?
00;00;20;01 - 00;00;21;18
Speaker 1
Hey, sign me up for that.
00;00;21;18 - 00;00;26;21
Speaker 1
But what if I also told you that not only could 2025 be your best year ever,
00;00;26;21 - 00;00;29;24
Speaker 1
but that you only need two tips
00;00;29;24 - 00;00;38;19
Speaker 1
to make it the best year ever. Now you can go online right now and find people sharing ten tips to make it the best year ever. Five tips 20 tips.
00;00;38;21 - 00;00;45;19
Speaker 1
Whenever I have two, just two tips for you. And if you follow these two tips,
00;00;45;19 - 00;00;49;18
Speaker 1
I can't guarantee it. I mean, we can't guarantee anything in life, right?
00;00;49;18 - 00;01;03;10
Speaker 1
But what I can tell you is you will set yourself up for a fabulous, remarkable, successful, and balanced 2025. Are you ready? Let's go. My friend,
00;01;30;00 - 00;01;31;16
Speaker 1
So what are these two tips?
00;01;31;18 - 00;01;48;05
Speaker 1
These two tips that I have to share with you today, so that you can have a successful and balanced 2025. And wouldn't you agree? If it's successful and you feel like your life, your work and your life has harmony and balance,
00;01;48;05 - 00;01;57;23
Speaker 1
then that's going to make it even better, right? Because that's what we're looking for. And, you know, as we're discovering our calling, I mean, we want to have that right.
00;01;57;25 - 00;02;02;29
Speaker 1
Because what's the sense of having success if you don't have balance or harmony, as I like to call it?
00;02;02;29 - 00;02;09;27
Speaker 1
And, you know, you can have all the harmony and balance in the world. But if you don't have success, well, you know, the bills don't get paid.
00;02;09;27 - 00;02;14;08
Speaker 1
So what are these two tips? Well, we're going to talk about that in a minute.
00;02;14;08 - 00;02;22;15
Speaker 1
But first before we step into 2025, which seems so crazy to say, say still,
00;02;22;15 - 00;02;25;03
Speaker 1
let's close out 2024
00;02;25;03 - 00;02;27;24
Speaker 1
with a place of gratitude.
00;02;27;24 - 00;02;28;09
Speaker 1
And
00;02;28;09 - 00;02;36;24
Speaker 1
I realize, like, we can look back in 2024 and for most of us, life happened and there were some really great moments. But there are
00;02;36;24 - 00;02;41;28
Speaker 1
usually some down moments to maybe some sad moments, maybe some frustrating moments for you.
00;02;42;00 - 00;02;51;22
Speaker 1
And if we're not careful, we can bring all those emotions with us into the new year. And when we are filled with these anxious,
00;02;51;22 - 00;02;53;00
Speaker 1
frustrated
00;02;53;00 - 00;02;56;04
Speaker 1
emotions, they can keep us stuck.
00;02;56;04 - 00;03;09;10
Speaker 1
So we want to make sure we step into 2024 with a heart of gratitude. And I like to do that by simply taking the time to really look back on the last year and think about what did go right.
00;03;09;10 - 00;03;23;23
Speaker 1
Because we can think of tons of things that maybe didn't go right. And hey, maybe nothing went wrong for you last year and kudos to you. Hooray for you. But I know for us personally, there were a lot of stuff going on, but there was a lot of great moments as well.
00;03;23;23 - 00;03;31;10
Speaker 1
So what I would recommend as you close out 2024, before you start really thinking ahead to 2025,
00;03;31;10 - 00;03;37;04
Speaker 1
take the time to sit down and write out a list of a minimum of ten,
00;03;37;04 - 00;03;40;00
Speaker 1
and maybe you could even stretch it all the way up to 100.
00;03;40;01 - 00;03;46;26
Speaker 1
I would challenge you to find a hundred things that you're grateful for that happened in 2024.
00;03;46;26 - 00;04;04;05
Speaker 1
And this is going to just put your heart in this place of gratitude, so that it's more open to being willing to see what happens in 2025. So I hope that makes sense. So that's not one of the tips, but that's just a little extra bonus.
00;04;04;07 - 00;04;10;00
Speaker 1
Or as they say in Louisiana I learned. Yep. Which is a little something extra for you.
00;04;10;00 - 00;04;19;23
Speaker 1
So start with that place of gratitude and write down. Minimum of ten. But stretch to try to go for 100 things you're grateful for in 2024.
00;04;19;23 - 00;04;22;27
Speaker 1
Then we can step into 2025
00;04;22;27 - 00;04;26;20
Speaker 1
with just two tips to make it successful and balanced.
00;04;26;20 - 00;04;31;28
Speaker 1
Number one, the first tip is what is the one thing
00;04;31;28 - 00;04;37;17
Speaker 1
you want to accomplish or start doing in 2025?
00;04;37;19 - 00;04;44;19
Speaker 1
So maybe you've read the book The One Thing by Gary Keller and Jay Pappas on. If not, I highly recommend it,
00;04;44;19 - 00;04;50;26
Speaker 1
but they start the book off with a Russian proverb that reads, if you chase two rabbits,
00;04;50;26 - 00;04;53;07
Speaker 1
you will not catch either one.
00;04;53;07 - 00;05;05;29
Speaker 1
Now what does that mean? That means if you're chasing all these things, and if you have a list of all these goals you want to accomplish in 2025 or all these resolutions you're going to set for yourself in the New year.
00;05;05;29 - 00;05;17;09
Speaker 1
Chances are you're not going to accomplish any of them because you're chasing too many rabbits, and we can't try to chase two or more rabbits and expect to catch any of them because we run it here or run in there.
00;05;17;09 - 00;05;21;05
Speaker 1
So but what if you just focus this year on one thing?
00;05;21;05 - 00;05;27;23
Speaker 1
But here's the thing that they talk about in the one Thing book is I feel like I'm saying a Doctor Seuss rhyme here,
00;05;27;23 - 00;05;35;01
Speaker 1
but the one thing that you choose should set you up that if you accomplished it,
00;05;35;01 - 00;05;41;14
Speaker 1
everything else will be, as Gary Keller says, easier or unnecessary.
00;05;41;14 - 00;05;45;12
Speaker 1
So what do I mean by that? So this morning, my husband and I sat down
00;05;45;12 - 00;05;47;04
Speaker 1
and we talked about
00;05;47;04 - 00;05;51;19
Speaker 1
What is the goal that I want to set for my business in 2025?
00;05;51;19 - 00;06;08;26
Speaker 1
And we came up with a really audacious goal of making a $100,000 with my discovering your calling between the book and my course that I'm going to be launching and, and doing workshops and any other coaching and anything else that maybe comes along the way in 2025.
00;06;08;28 - 00;06;11;28
Speaker 1
And if I accomplish that goal,
00;06;11;28 - 00;06;24;01
Speaker 1
it will help me achieve other goals. It will help pay off some of the debt we've incurred in the last couple of years. It will help be able to set us up to take the vacations that we want to take in the future,
00;06;24;01 - 00;06;26;22
Speaker 1
and it will just set up for so many other things.
00;06;26;23 - 00;06;34;22
Speaker 1
So that is the one thing if I just focus on that one goal. All these other things will naturally happen because of it.
00;06;34;22 - 00;06;45;01
Speaker 1
And that's what they talk about in the book. The one thing is just really honing in on that one one goal, one habit. One thing to start doing
00;06;45;01 - 00;06;50;27
Speaker 1
that, if you did that, everything else will be easier or unnecessary.
00;06;50;27 - 00;06;52;11
Speaker 1
Now I want to add
00;06;52;11 - 00;07;03;04
Speaker 1
that the one thing that you choose as your one main goal for 2025 should be something that scares you and excites you.
00;07;03;04 - 00;07;17;08
Speaker 1
And in the discover in your Calling book and the Discover in Your Calling Academy, we talk about setting hard goals, which is based off of Mark Murphy's book Hard Goals The Secret to getting from where You are to Where You Want to be,
00;07;17;08 - 00;07;19;05
Speaker 1
and with the hard goals.
00;07;19;07 - 00;07;21;07
Speaker 1
The D stands for difficult.
00;07;21;07 - 00;07;31;05
Speaker 1
And he talks about that. It's got to stretch you a little bit. And I like to suggest that you set a goal that is slightly outside of your comfort zone,
00;07;31;05 - 00;07;33;25
Speaker 1
because if it's way outside of your comfort zone,
00;07;33;25 - 00;07;40;00
Speaker 1
it'll scare you so much. It you'll just freeze. We do nothing. I used to be guilty of that all the time.
00;07;40;00 - 00;07;49;27
Speaker 1
I used to set these huge, audacious goals that really were not realistic, and I would never do anything towards them because in my soul, I kind of knew they were unachievable.
00;07;49;27 - 00;08;00;23
Speaker 1
But when I started setting goals that were just slightly outside of my comfort zone, the excited me because I could see that yes, with focus, effort and energy put into it,
00;08;00;23 - 00;08;03;01
Speaker 1
I could achieve those goals.
00;08;03;04 - 00;08;04;17
Speaker 1
And when I started doing that,
00;08;04;17 - 00;08;11;06
Speaker 1
if I focused on it and I only chased that one rabbit, that one goal, I usually did achieve them.
00;08;11;06 - 00;08;15;18
Speaker 1
And that's what I want for you this year as well as like, set that one goal
00;08;15;18 - 00;08;21;08
Speaker 1
that excites you, that pushes you a little out of your comfort zone. That's where the excitement comes.
00;08;21;09 - 00;08;29;06
Speaker 1
Because here's the flip side. If it's too easy, there's no excitement in it. And that's what the difficult that Mark Murphy talks about.
00;08;29;06 - 00;08;41;20
Speaker 1
If we know we can easily achieve it, then we don't bother. It's kind of like, you know, well, we wait until the last minute to write the paper for a school or, you know, for a school project because we know it was so easy.
00;08;41;20 - 00;08;48;27
Speaker 1
We knew we could just get it done at the last minute and didn't really want to work that hard at it. Or it's like losing 5 pounds. That's
00;08;48;27 - 00;09;01;04
Speaker 1
now at 58. It's kind of hard these days, but it used to be an easy goal. So there's no excitement in it. But if that's something that's going to challenge you, you'll be excited to work towards it.
00;09;01;06 - 00;09;02;15
Speaker 1
But it's got to be
00;09;02;15 - 00;09;10;03
Speaker 1
in that space where you also know in your heart and soul again, with focus, effort and energy, you can actually achieve it.
00;09;10;03 - 00;09;13;26
Speaker 1
So my friend, what is that one thing?
00;09;13;26 - 00;09;20;20
Speaker 1
That one thing that if you did this, everything else would fall into place in 2025.
00;09;20;20 - 00;09;24;07
Speaker 1
Now here's the next part of that step one or that.
00;09;24;07 - 00;09;25;11
Speaker 1
Tip number one
00;09;25;11 - 00;09;32;11
Speaker 1
is once you figure out what that one thing is, I want you to trash your house with this one goal.
00;09;32;11 - 00;09;33;22
Speaker 1
And now what do I mean by that?
00;09;33;22 - 00;09;36;05
Speaker 1
I mean, put that goal
00;09;36;05 - 00;09;45;21
Speaker 1
everywhere so you can see it. Put it on post-it notes and stick it on your bathroom mirror. Write it on your office, put it on your phone and your computer screens.
00;09;45;24 - 00;09;49;14
Speaker 1
Put it everywhere where you can see it. Put it on the refrigerator door.
00;09;49;14 - 00;09;51;15
Speaker 1
Put it on the door. Leaving your house
00;09;51;15 - 00;09;51;28
Speaker 1
like
00;09;51;28 - 00;09;56;03
Speaker 1
all over the house. Trash your house with your goal,
00;09;56;03 - 00;10;03;04
Speaker 1
and that's going to keep it in the forefront of your brain and remind you all the time. That's the thing you're working on
00;10;03;04 - 00;10;04;20
Speaker 1
and have a story to share about this.
00;10;04;21 - 00;10;27;06
Speaker 1
So I learned all about goal setting and trash in your house, with your goals and all of those kind of things. Back in my direct selling days, and I used to listen to, you know, all these, CDs or cassettes way back in the day in the car all the time. So my youngest son, Jacob, he was three when I started my business in direct sales.
00;10;27;06 - 00;10;48;11
Speaker 1
So he couldn't help. But he was, always not by choice, but because he was hanging with me or driving in, you know, in the car with me or at home with me. He heard all these motivational speakers and all these, tapes I was listening to all the time. So he caught the idea of goal setting
00;10;48;11 - 00;10;50;20
Speaker 1
and putting your goal where you could see it.
00;10;50;20 - 00;10;53;11
Speaker 1
And I will never forget the day
00;10;53;11 - 00;10;57;26
Speaker 1
that I came home and Jacob had trashed the house with his goal.
00;10;57;26 - 00;11;04;29
Speaker 1
You see, at that point, he was early teenager. I don't remember exactly the year this happened or the age he was,
00;11;04;29 - 00;11;13;01
Speaker 1
but he had been competing, in Lake Placid where like 2.5 hours away from Lake Placid, where we live in New York.
00;11;13;03 - 00;11;15;26
Speaker 1
And he started off being a junior bobsledder.
00;11;15;26 - 00;11;18;04
Speaker 1
If you remember the movie Cool Runnings like that.
00;11;18;04 - 00;11;37;12
Speaker 1
And then he moved into, when he turned 16 to become a, skeleton athlete and skeleton, if you're not familiar, is they are going down the same track as the bobsled, but now they're on what looks like a flexible flier sled on their belly, face or head first on their belly.
00;11;37;12 - 00;11;41;19
Speaker 1
So he was competing and he had a goal to go to the Olympics.
00;11;41;19 - 00;11;44;23
Speaker 1
I think maybe he was 1415 at this
00;11;44;23 - 00;11;46;21
Speaker 1
point in his career. Now,
00;11;46;21 - 00;11;49;24
Speaker 1
I don't know. I don't know the the time frame. It doesn't really matter.
00;11;49;24 - 00;11;51;20
Speaker 1
But I came home one day
00;11;51;20 - 00;11;52;11
Speaker 1
and
00;11;52;11 - 00;11;57;21
Speaker 1
I noticed all over the house there were little bitty stickers
00;11;57;21 - 00;11;58;08
Speaker 1
that he had.
00;11;58;14 - 00;12;07;18
Speaker 1
I don't remember now if he printed them out or he just drew them, but they were taped and they were little bitty like I'm talking about half inch by an inch long.
00;12;07;18 - 00;12;20;22
Speaker 1
And it was just 2010 Olympic symbols all over our house. It was on the refrigerator. It was on the bathroom, you know, in the bathroom mirror. It was on the stair case, the railing on the staircase.
00;12;20;24 - 00;12;31;08
Speaker 1
And he just tape these little 2010 Olympic symbols everywhere around the house. I think there had to be 20 to 30 of them, like, they were tiny, but they were just all over.
00;12;31;08 - 00;12;34;22
Speaker 1
And I was so proud of him at that moment,
00;12;34;22 - 00;12;40;12
Speaker 1
because he had caught this idea of setting a goal and keeping it in front of himself.
00;12;40;12 - 00;12;43;00
Speaker 1
Now, did he make it to the 2010 Olympics?
00;12;43;00 - 00;12;44;06
Speaker 1
No, he didn't.
00;12;44;06 - 00;12;47;22
Speaker 1
But here's the thing the 2010 Olympics were set to be in Canada,
00;12;47;22 - 00;12;55;22
Speaker 1
and in that, well, they were in Canada in 2010, the Winter Olympics. He didn't make that. But you know what? He did compete
00;12;55;22 - 00;13;00;06
Speaker 1
in skeleton racing and represented the USA team in Canada.
00;13;00;06 - 00;13;03;25
Speaker 1
So he did achieve part of the goal.
00;13;03;25 - 00;13;07;05
Speaker 1
He never made it to the Olympics, but he had a great run.
00;13;07;05 - 00;13;11;04
Speaker 1
literally and figuratively. As a USA skeleton athlete,
00;13;11;04 - 00;13;20;10
Speaker 1
he competed for quite a few years and it was just an amazing time. But the whole point was he learned how to set goals and to keep his goal in front of him.
00;13;20;10 - 00;13;35;25
Speaker 1
While you're studying your 2025 one thing goal and thinking about what to let go of. If you're like me right now, after the holidays, it's time to let go of all of the extra sugar I've been eating in between.
00;13;35;25 - 00;13;44;03
Speaker 1
My awesome bourbon bacon, chocolate pie, and all the cookies I've been eating and just all the wrong things.
00;13;44;06 - 00;14;01;07
Speaker 1
It's time to step it back into letting go of that and stepping into a goal of eating healthier. And along with that, it's getting back into the habit of drinking my Magic Mind performance shot every morning and I love the magic line. I've been talking about it on the show
00;14;01;07 - 00;14;16;29
Speaker 1
for the last couple of months, but it gives me it helps with mental clarity, motivation, mood enhancement, less stress, and calm energy has natural ingredients in it like ashwagandha, lion's mane, and just things that are just so good for your body.
00;14;16;29 - 00;14;21;10
Speaker 1
So cut out the sugar and step into a better habit.
00;14;21;10 - 00;14;31;19
Speaker 1
But the other thing I love about this company is if you know someone who struggles, and I think we all do with mental health crises,
00;14;31;19 - 00;14;45;26
Speaker 1
they are supporting that as well. And they give back $0.05 for every bottle sold to mental health charities and services that assist impoverished and homeless communities within the United States.
00;14;45;28 - 00;15;11;13
Speaker 1
So every time you're drinking your magic mind little bottle, you can know that not only are you doing something good for your own body, but you're doing something good for communities across the United States and helping somebody in a mental health crisis. If you're ready to try magic mine for yourself, head over to Magic mine.com backslash d y c.
00;15;11;15 - 00;15;21;02
Speaker 1
Use by code DC 20 and you'll receive 20% off your first order of magic mind. Let me know what you think.
00;15;21;02 - 00;15;26;20
Speaker 1
So keep your one goal in front of you trashed your house.
00;15;26;22 - 00;15;45;15
Speaker 1
And you know what? I would love it if you took a picture of your post-it notes. Or maybe you do like Jake and just taped little symbols all over the house so you know what it means. Take a picture of it posted on social media and tag me in it. I'm just at Sherri Miter as I might tag me in it.
00;15;45;15 - 00;15;46;26
Speaker 1
I would love to see
00;15;46;26 - 00;15;50;18
Speaker 1
the trashed houses and I'll share mine with you as well.
00;15;50;18 - 00;15;53;03
Speaker 1
I'm going to put $100,000 all over the house,
00;15;53;03 - 00;15;53;26
Speaker 1
for the goal.
00;15;53;26 - 00;15;54;11
Speaker 1
Okay.
00;15;54;11 - 00;16;07;17
Speaker 1
Tip number two. So that's tip number one. What's the one thing to set one goal this year that if you achieve that one goal, everything else will be easier or unnecessary and then trash your house with it.
00;16;07;20 - 00;16;08;23
Speaker 1
Tip number two
00;16;08;23 - 00;16;15;24
Speaker 1
what do you need to let go of in 2025 to make room for more?
00;16;15;24 - 00;16;17;06
Speaker 1
Because here's the thing
00;16;17;06 - 00;16;26;16
Speaker 1
if we want to achieve more, we want to have more. We want to accomplish something different. We need to let go of something. We need to make the space for it.
00;16;26;16 - 00;16;29;02
Speaker 1
Leo and I'm probably going to butcher his name here.
00;16;29;02 - 00;16;30;15
Speaker 1
Bob Barbato
00;16;30;15 - 00;16;41;23
Speaker 1
of the blog Zen Habits shares simplicity boils down to two things identifying the essential and eliminate the rest.
00;16;41;23 - 00;16;45;15
Speaker 1
So what do you need to eliminate in 2025?
00;16;45;15 - 00;16;48;02
Speaker 1
What isn't serving you anymore?
00;16;48;02 - 00;16;51;23
Speaker 1
What have you been doing that you just don't even enjoy anymore?
00;16;51;23 - 00;17;00;25
Speaker 1
What's taking up so much time, energy, mental bandwidth that you can't focus on your passion project?
00;17;00;25 - 00;17;03;01
Speaker 1
What is it that if you got rid of it,
00;17;03;01 - 00;17;09;21
Speaker 1
you would have the time, energy and mental bandwidth to accomplish your one thing goal?
00;17;09;21 - 00;17;20;01
Speaker 1
Now for me, after doing some deep thinking and soul searching, I realize the one thing I need to let go of right now
00;17;20;01 - 00;17;26;22
Speaker 1
I don't think it's going to be for the entire year. Is this podcast.
00;17;26;25 - 00;17;45;07
Speaker 1
It takes a lot of time, energy, and brainpower each week for me to come up with and record and do the show notes and and social media posts about the podcast, not to mention answering all the emails I get every week with people pitching why
00;17;45;07 - 00;17;47;15
Speaker 1
I should have this person as a guest on my show.
00;17;47;15 - 00;17;51;16
Speaker 1
It takes a lot of time and energy. And just like I said, that mental energy
00;17;51;16 - 00;18;10;17
Speaker 1
to do this podcast every week. And I love being here and sharing with all of you that take the time to listen every week. But I realize it's the one thing that I need to let go of for a short term in order to accomplish the other goals.
00;18;10;19 - 00;18;14;19
Speaker 1
I need to put that time and energy and bandwidth into finishing my book,
00;18;14;19 - 00;18;17;14
Speaker 1
creating all the things I need to go along with the book, and
00;18;17;14 - 00;18;29;10
Speaker 1
most importantly, getting my Discovering Your Calling Academy course all set up and out there and promoting it. That's the thing that's going to help me hit that goal of making $100,000,
00;18;29;10 - 00;18;31;09
Speaker 1
as podcasts cost me money every week.
00;18;31;15 - 00;18;36;16
Speaker 1
It doesn't make me any money, you know? Yes. Have I picked up a few clients here or there? Yes.
00;18;36;16 - 00;18;37;08
Speaker 1
So I
00;18;37;08 - 00;18;49;07
Speaker 1
love, love, love sharing information with you all listening here and especially those that show up every week to hear the podcast and support the podcasts and share the podcast.
00;18;49;10 - 00;18;50;14
Speaker 1
But I realize
00;18;50;14 - 00;18;52;18
Speaker 1
it's the thing I need to let go right now.
00;18;52;18 - 00;18;59;19
Speaker 1
And that's the hard thing, is sometimes what we realize we need to let go of, it's something we enjoy.
00;18;59;19 - 00;19;02;24
Speaker 1
It's fun, it impacts others.
00;19;02;24 - 00;19;07;17
Speaker 1
So making that decision to stop doing it can be very hard to make.
00;19;07;17 - 00;19;12;26
Speaker 1
But if we want to achieve the one goal we have to make the hard decisions.
00;19;12;26 - 00;19;31;11
Speaker 1
Now, I don't know if I'm going to let this podcast go for three months, six months. I don't really think it's going to be the entire year. I think once I get things set up, I can come back to recording episodes. I don't know, I'm going to be open to just letting that play out the way it should.
00;19;31;11 - 00;19;31;22
Speaker 1
But
00;19;31;22 - 00;19;37;05
Speaker 1
what is that and more about the podcast in a minute. But I want to come back to you. So for you,
00;19;37;05 - 00;19;47;09
Speaker 1
what is that thing that you know deep in your gut you need to let go of in 2025? And again, it doesn't have to be forever,
00;19;47;09 - 00;19;52;06
Speaker 1
just for now so that you could accomplish your one thing goal.
00;19;52;06 - 00;20;01;00
Speaker 1
So really contemplate that. And like I said, that me, that's usually a much harder decision to make than setting the goal itself.
00;20;01;00 - 00;20;05;04
Speaker 1
But if we don't clear the space and empty the space,
00;20;05;04 - 00;20;13;05
Speaker 1
that's where we don't have balance. That's where you're going to struggle to figure out, how do I have the time to achieve the one thing goal?
00;20;13;05 - 00;20;21;09
Speaker 1
So we need to clear the space. And that's how you're going to have success. And that balance or harmony you're looking for in 2025.
00;20;21;09 - 00;20;23;29
Speaker 1
So let's just stop here and review.
00;20;23;29 - 00;20;32;13
Speaker 1
First of all, close out 2024 with a grateful heart. What are the things you're grateful for that happen in 2024?
00;20;32;13 - 00;20;43;13
Speaker 1
Number two, what is that one thing you want to accomplish or start doing in 2025 that will nudge you and excite you out of your comfort zone?
00;20;43;13 - 00;20;52;23
Speaker 1
And number three, what do you need to let go of in 2025 to make room for more, or space to do the one thing goal?
00;20;52;23 - 00;21;04;02
Speaker 1
And number four trash your house with your goals so that it remind you what that goal is and you don't get distracted by all the other shiny things happening out there.
00;21;04;02 - 00;21;06;12
Speaker 1
And again, I would love to see a picture of that.
00;21;06;12 - 00;21;13;03
Speaker 1
So tag me posted on social media and tag me at Sherri Miter and that's Instagram or Facebook.
00;21;13;03 - 00;21;19;14
Speaker 1
You can also email me and just let me know what are your goals at Sherri? At discovering your calling.com?
00;21;19;14 - 00;21;32;09
Speaker 1
Now, as I close out this final episode of 2024 and the final episode, as I take this pause from the podcast, is that I don't think it's a never coming back.
00;21;32;10 - 00;21;34;06
Speaker 1
I think it's just a pause for now.
00;21;34;06 - 00;21;38;05
Speaker 1
I just want to thank you. I want to thank you all for listening
00;21;38;05 - 00;21;43;28
Speaker 1
to the Discovering your Your Calling podcast. I'm so grateful to each and every one of you.
00;21;43;28 - 00;21;49;16
Speaker 1
Do you know, we're in 86 countries? I just checked this morning, 86 countries
00;21;49;16 - 00;21;54;27
Speaker 1
and over 1325 cities across the globe.
00;21;54;27 - 00;21;59;10
Speaker 1
There's somebody in like 1300 cities that listen to this podcast.
00;21;59;10 - 00;22;00;23
Speaker 1
I think that's so cool.
00;22;00;23 - 00;22;11;00
Speaker 1
And since since 2022, which is when I switched to the buzz Buzzsprout platform, there's been 16,000 downloads of this podcast.
00;22;11;00 - 00;22;18;00
Speaker 1
Now there's over 290 episodes that I've recorded over the course of four years of podcasting.
00;22;18;00 - 00;22;23;23
Speaker 1
We started off uncharted entrepreneurs. We switched to navigating your leadership and now discovering your calling.
00;22;23;23 - 00;22;27;03
Speaker 1
Tons on Cliftonstrengths tons on all these other topics.
00;22;27;05 - 00;22;46;19
Speaker 1
So while I'm taking this break, go back and find some old episodes, listen to them. You know, you got a ton of episodes to listen to, so I hope you don't disappear from the Discovering Your Calling podcast. I hope you just say listening to some older, you know, watch the review or watch the replays. Watch the old retakes of things.
00;22;46;22 - 00;22;57;09
Speaker 1
There's some pretty funny ones out there because I was not that great in the beginning. I listened to some old ones are like, oh my God, that was horrible. But the topics, the information is good.
00;22;57;09 - 00;22;57;27
Speaker 1
But anyway,
00;22;57;27 - 00;23;00;13
Speaker 1
they're there for you to keep listening to the show.
00;23;00;13 - 00;23;03;11
Speaker 1
I also would love it if you did, you know, connect with me.
00;23;03;11 - 00;23;11;01
Speaker 1
Let's be friends on social media. I hang out at Facebook mostly, but I'm going to try to do a little bit more on Instagram because I'll have the time now.
00;23;11;01 - 00;23;23;16
Speaker 1
And most importantly, make sure you're on my email list if you want to stay in the know and follow along when the book comes out. The Discover Your Calling book and late winter, early spring.
00;23;23;16 - 00;23;29;09
Speaker 1
And of course, when the Discovering Your Calling Academy course goes live.
00;23;29;09 - 00;23;30;19
Speaker 1
Hopefully by February.
00;23;30;19 - 00;23;33;09
Speaker 1
So my friend, I want to just
00;23;33;09 - 00;23;38;23
Speaker 1
tell you that I hope you do have a blessed and happy New Year,
00;23;38;23 - 00;23;42;11
Speaker 1
and that you do figure out what is your one thing goal,
00;23;42;11 - 00;23;46;05
Speaker 1
and you also take the time to figure out what you need to let go of.
00;23;46;08 - 00;23;52;23
Speaker 1
And when you do those two things, those are the only two things you need to do to have a successful
00;23;52;23 - 00;23;58;17
Speaker 1
and balanced 2025. I'll see you back here
00;23;58;17 - 00;24;02;08
Speaker 1
some point in the future. Thanks for listening to today's episode.
